  1. Great advice ^^^ especially the first paragraph.
  2. Meh... It seems fine to me--pretty much like other stuff in that genre. But I'm not into this kind of music, and I'm sure his kindred spirits have a finer ear.... So, I'd be happy to participate in this stoning.
  3. A Twin offer 65 lbs of tone. I hope you have a good back--or roadies!
  4. Elderley has them, $3 a piece: http://www.elderly.com/accessories/names/fred-kelly%27s-bumble-bee-teardrop-pick--PKBBT.htm The only adjustment is the fit around the thumb, which can seem a little tight at first. Nothing terrible, however. There's also a jazz pick version, which I haven't tried because I don't usually use jazz picks. The ability to shift back and forth between fingerpicking and flatpicking--even in the same riff--is really cool!
  5. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but it still made a big difference in my playing! This is the Fred Kelley bumble bee teardrop pick, and it was recommended to me (indirectly, alas) by none other than Steve Earle. (A friend ran into Steve at Matt Umanov's in NYC, and they chatted a bit--during which time he recommended this pick: The beauty of it is that it acts as a thumb pick and a flatpick. You can move instantaneously from flat picking to finger picking.
