Played on a cheap Cort LP knockoff. You have to remember, in the very early 80s cheap guitars weren't like the cheap guitars you have available today. I played that badboy till my fingers bled (literally - the action was that high). I eagerly attended my practices and the payoff came when my dad bought me a brand new 1983 Kramer Pacer Imperial. One of the best built guitars I have ever played to this day. It still looks brand new even though it was my only guitar for many, many years and was never babied. It was taken to all the dives, left in my trunk in extreme heat and cold, you name it. I made the mistake of parting with it sometime in the late 90s but was very fortunate enough to get it back. It could use a fret dressing but other than that it still feels great, plays amazingly well and those stock Schaller pickups just sound heavenly. Not too many guitars in my collection have parts on it made in "West Germany."
