  1. That article isn't just about teenybopper music exclusively, it's really about the scalping problem that has become ridiculous for all types of popular music in the last few years. It's a complete farce when you get up at 4 in the morning, queue up 3rd in line and *completely* miss out on tickets 2 minutes after the ticket office opens for sale. The problem is the ability for 50000 people to buy tickets simultaneously on the net. Unfortunately quite a few of those 'people' are really just script bots that log in multiple times to purchase tickets to be scalped soon after. One way to get around this problem is to not release all the tickets at once. And while they're at it, why not also reserve a separate chunk of tickets for the people that are camping out over night in the ticket queues. I'm so sick of buying tickets 30 seconds after they go on sale and still ending up with crap seats. And don't get me started on 'reserved corporate seating' - where the first 5 rows are made up of corporate stiffs that just sit there scowling at the band throughout the entire performance, and then don't even bother standing up after the last song when the entire auditorium behind them is going crazy for an encore.
