+1. Even with the same guitar setup just switching between pickups will do this to me. This happens to me all the time. I find that my perception of good tone changes depending on what I heard just before playing. I have a bunch of tones dialed into my M13, and if I play a classic rock tone, it sounds great. I then play a scooped metal tone, go back to the classic rock tone, and the classic rock tone sounds muffled. I keep playing the classic rock tone, and in a few minutes, it sounds great again. A given tone can sound great or terrible when I first fire up my rig. One's perception of tone is not a constant.

Martin D-16RGT (I'm really an acoustic player at heart, have 6 acoustics...I only own 1 electric and 1 amp) or Martin DX-1...I think it's a 'good' guitar, but I know many who think otherwise (due to body material construction). I got the DX-1 about 2 years before the D-16RGT.

Bugera, sounds decent and has a built in attenuator. Also to note, the Champion 600 is the only 6V6 amp in your list...so if you prefer the 6V6 tone that would be your selection.

I voted equal amounts...however I do consider Mahogany and Sapele to be in the same league...so if you hadn't listed Sapele separately I'd have chosen Mahogany. I have 1 rosewood, 1 sapele, and 1 mahogany.
