  1. Yah man, good advice. I figured this out a while ago (whatever version they first incorporated it into Sonar). Not only does it save on resources, but it can help organize your tracks on a visual level ( for idiots like me who get confuzzled by umpteenbillionz of tracks).
  2. Thanks Kiwi, I definitely agree that VST dill are easier to manage in Sonar. I guess to be a bit more specific, Sonar uses the VST wrapper to make them useable....my question is, does this make them more or less efficient/functional/whatever than a DX effect/instrument, which seems to have been native to Cakewalk for some time now?
  3. Is there any advantage to using VST plugins instead of DX plugins in Sonar 5?
  4. The Blackbox is a pos in my opinion, look elsewhere for an amp modeler. Hate to say it, but Line 6 is still the best bet....guitar rig 2 sounds alot better than its predecessor. I have a Vox Tonelab and it gets the job done aswell.
  5. This might be a bit of a dumb question but up until now I've been recording in 24bit/44.1k and am considering doing my next disc in 96k. I know the size of the audio will occupy more HD space, but will the change make a big difference on cpu usage in both my patform and plugins? My specs are: AMD Athlon 64 3200, 2 gigs ram, 2 WD 80gig HDs, Presonus Firepod, Cakewalk Sonar 5, and various DXi plugins. Any help would be much appreciated!
