That's funny, last time I was recording with mine a tripod stand with the MXL went over. Still works fine though.

I've got some good stuff laid down vocal and guitar wise from a Studio Projects B1 and MXL2003. I bought both used on ebay for half of what they sell online. Check em out, the B1 sounds really good on electric guitars too.
