Not sure what took him away from us, but I agree that he is underrated. Hell of a singer, very soulful. Possibly, the most underrated ever. Jesus, what a humongous sound! I did a little more poking around, and there is some reference to pnuemonia and something else entirely related to anesthesia from an operation. Anyone?
