  1. requested to use Hoppipola as a primary referenc Ha! I {censored}ing knew it. I told my woman that loads of the songs sounded like Hoppipola but she said I was imagining it. Thanks for the reply. It was very interesting.
  2. Haha. Although completely unrelated (my FOB parents met at UCLA), surprisingly my distant relatives in Malm
  3. I guess my context clues served me wrong. Location: Korea, Avatar: Korean, Posts: Asians? My next guess for sure would have been Swedish-Armenian. Anyways I meant no offense to you with my silly joke of all Asians looking alike... If you think Koreans all look alike you should see Swedish-Armenians.
  4. Asian girls FTW. Let me fix that for you. Plastic surgery FTW
  5. ok the only desperate thing here is your attempts to make me look stupid. first, im sexist against men? i mean, i dont even know what to say to that. second, feminism. im just gonna put that right here. and lastly, if you were using proper reading comprehension instead of angrily mashing keys after skimming my responses, youll see that i did NOT agree with the standard of beauty being more attainable in the 50's. in fact i said exactly the opposite. onyxrhino didnt debunk anything. that was his observation. do you know what debunking is? youre so silly. now calm down and go start an advocacy group for men who feel victimized by the female gaze You seem like an uptight kinda guy. I'm not trying to make you look stupid. I'm just pointing out that your way of thinking is misguided and immature. It seems like this is going to drag on with you getting more and more upset and making silly comments about "advocacy groups". Therefore I'm going to stop posting. People can read the posts and come to their own conclusions.
  6. it may sound like whatever to you, but im smarter than you give me credit for. maybe think for a sec. Your example of "real butch lesbians" has already been debunked by onyxrhino. You also already conceded that when men were in control of the fashion world the standard of beauty was "more attainable". It's been proven time and time again that men prefer heavier women than the current stick thin models. Women are just as to blame as men for their obsession with their looks. To solely blame men, as you are doing, is sexist. And to use lesbians as an example of females who are not interested in their looks smacks of desperation and shows a lack of respect to lesbians.
  7. Well, in retrospect it looks more attainable. And I do blame men because the one singular group of women in the developed world that seems to be immune to this phenomena? Lesbians. And real ones, not lipstick lesbians or bi chicks at raves. I'm talking real butch lesbians. They don't give a {censored} about their image. And most of them dress like 13 year old boys. Now I wonder why.... What a load of {censored}. It sounds like you are spouting second hand rhetoric that your girlfriend has taught you.
  8. they all come from (or grew up) in a misogynistic world where beauty standards were blatantly (or very cleverly secretly) put in place by men. if you think otherwise, youre naive. do i really have to post pics of 1950's beauty ads? cuz i will. and then ill {censored} your mind with them. I would argue that the standard of beauty in the 50s was more attainable than today's standard. The women were larger and more naturally shaped. Everyone is under pressure to look good these days. More men are getting cosmetic surgery and things like hair transplants. To solely blame men for the situation is misguided.
  9. I live in Korea but have never seen a Reverend guitar for sale here.
  10. Some of you may know I unfortunately had to sell off my whole collection recently cause Uncle Sam had his hand so far down my pocket he could have scratched my foot. That being said, kinda don't want to end up in the same boat with a bunch of guitars. I'm gonna start saving up. But anyways, if you had to pick one what would it be and what style music do you play? I'm sorry to hear that OP. My choice would be a Strat with a bridge humbucker. I play mostly rock/indie but I think that guitar would cover alot of ground. If i had money I would buy an American Fender but if I was pinching the pennies I would go for a Yamaha Pacifica. It's a well made guitar and a perfect modding platform. Hope everything works out for you.
  11. Ello ello ello. What's going on here then? Someone used the word Jap? I'm from Scotland but if anyone here calls me "Scot" you better be ready for a {censored} storm. Unless you mean to call me Scott. But then that's not my name, so you better be ready for a {censored} storm. OP - That price sounds too high for a second hand Jag. I would keep looking.
  12. Pointy guitars are old hat buddy. Sticking with classic designs which are adapted to suit your playing is the way to go. If you are rocking the tele that you posted a picture for earlier then you will look good. Also if you are overweight why not try to lose some extra baggage? If you are bald keep it short. No shame in growing old my friend. Keep on rocking.
