  1. oh, one more thing. i find analog scopes much easier to use, but with a digital you can likely freeze the image on the screen and maybe do some funky math on it. they both sound the same, though.

THere's so many different types! buy a Tek or maybe an HP, used, 20MHz is enough, 2 channels. you'll need two scope probes as well, but those are cheap and for audio, the $5 kinds will likely be enough. i've got an old gargantuan Tek 7603 modular scope that currently has 2 channels, but i can plug in another 2-ch module and get 4 channels of probing. yay. the thing is about as big as an amp head, and weighs more.
