  1. I do miss the pre-upgrade days. People seemed to be on the same page then, but who knows... I found myself taking this place a bit too seriously, getting irritated, etc., so I've taken a few weeks off. It was nice. Yes, this forum is ultimately about shopping and complaining, but I really enjoy one of those things so I'll keep coming back.
  2. I'm torn on this one. Things I like (lipsticks, humbucker, overall shape), but then the bridge and tail look , and for some reason I've never liked the one knob in, one knob out of the pickguard thing.
  3. As to the question, it'd have to have P-90's. The guitar with P-90's that I'm currently obsessed with is my PRS McSoapy, so I'll go with that.
  4. facepalm all you want... still waiting for clips He was facepalming because he suggested expensive pickups, got ganged up on, and then the op chose expensive pickups after wading through this {censored} of a thread. How bout u take a clip and stick it up your ass?
  5. I was asking for your clips that demonstrate that in your experience the Rose pickups are better than the GFS equivalent? I search everywhere looking for da Diceman using a GFS P90.......maybe you can link me? Seriously? WTF?
  6. I have always wanted a guitar with p-90s so I think I might put a pair in my Duesenberg. People in the forum have convinced me to go with a little higher quality so I think BG sounds like a good choice. Is the BG P-90 humbucker size about as true to a P-90 sound your gonna get in a Humbucker sized P-90 or should I look at some other options? There are a few. I've heard nothing but great stuff about BG's pickups. In my own experience, I've used Phat Cats as well as Kent Armstrong. The Duncans sounded great, as you'd expect, but I was blown away by the Armstrongs (especially considering they're not as pricey as the Duncans, though far from cheap). I actually have a pair right now that I'm going to be putting in my Eastman (trying to find a little Chet Atkins tone in there).
  7. Way to misuse "there" twice, in two different ways, in one sentence. That really is difficult to pull off. Impressive.
  8. now where did i leave my {censored}sauce? It's over there beside the poncho. So, I was getting ready to sell my JC-50 yesterday, but after I played through that solid state chorus, I changed my mind. SO THERE!!! [insert maniacal laugh] :poke:
  9. Yeah I know, but I thought it was worth a shot. usually ponchos are the best way to kill a thread, but even those haven't been working lately.
  10. Just a friendly reminder that you are, in fact, a son of a bitch.
  11. you son of a bitch. neck flame too????
  12. I don't see how paying someone very little for something worth a lot is a crime. If he held a gun to the guy's head and made him sell it I could see that but with the internet there is no reason to not know what something is worth. I wouldn't want that on my conscience but I have had people bid up ebay auctions I have run so high for junk that I have felt bad about it. At the end of the day the guy's post probably was made up anyway. The crime has a name, and its name is fraud.
  13. Yeah, it got ugly. After a while, it wasn't even about the original transaction. I just didn't like all the name calling (I mean...calling the old guy a "douchebag"?) by someone who eventually admitted that he was just bored. old guys smell funny. but they look awesome in ponchos. but to be fair, who doesn't?
  14. I believe I might barely be able to stomach a metallic darkish salmon finish if I underwent a hypnotism session, just not the Pepto-Bismol pink that everyone is pushing. I don't think that you are the target demographic.
