Today its just getting twisted it used to be Adam and Eve in the Bible,,whats next Adam and Steve???? I'm 100% for keeping God OUT of the schools. God is the reason for just about every war and why most people on the Earth hate eachother. People are just {censored}ing stupid though, that's the reason. And I'm all for gay marriage, it keeps the population down since gays can't get eachother pregnant.
  4. Originally posted by Mesaholic The problem with the McDonald's suit wasn't that the coffee was "hot", it was dangerously "hot". Sure, coffee is supposed to be "hot", but not so "hot" that it would cause burns requiring hospitalization and disfigurement (which is what happened in that case). The evidence showed that McDonald's had been warned that the coffee was too hot and had caused serious injury to people. McDonald's chose to ignore those warnings and continue to sell the coffee because they believed they would lose sales if the coffee temperature was cooled. Under those facts, the jury concluded (rightfully in my opinion) that McDonald's put its profit-motive ahead of safety. So i guess Mcdonalds should put warning signs on thier coffee cups if they already don't! WARNING, HOT COFFEE IS HOT AND IT CAN BURN. I wonder if i can sue Friedrich air conditioners for making the ZQ-10a10 model 80lbs? I {censored}ed my back up last week picking it up. Maybe i can sue the surviving family members of whoever discovered gravity, I'm naming them in my lawsuit.
  5. Originally posted by cloudnine Michael Moore can be a misrepresenting prick, but this is ridiculous. How many years has it been since the movie? Why is the guy cashing in now? It really hasn't been that long and maybe they were working with laywers for a while now. Look how long it took Muddy Waters to sue Led Zeppelin!

How do you explain the extra $10 million for his wife? And asking for more than you knowingly deserve doesn't make things right, even if it's the norm. It still makes him look like a tool.... Yeah, but i bet the lawyers are just licking thier chops and they won't be thrown all over the news and have people looking at them saying how greedy they are like the veteran. I just wonder how much money the lawyers convinced them they could get as oppossed to how much they thought they could get before they met with lawyers? I have had people do worse things to me than Moore did to this guy and i never got a penny. I think Moore is a fat douche but i do think the lawsuit is extreme.
  7. Speaking of insane law suits. 6 sex offenders are sueing a town over a new law about keeping them away from parks, playgrounds etc. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/01/us/01brfs-brief-005.html
  8. Originally posted by CptnMayonaise im sure Michael moore can afford some good lawyers, plus, he's pretty slick as it is i dont think this guy has a case I think he has a strong case. While i think the amount of the suit is extreme Moore still used him without his permission and edited the interview with him to portray something that wasn't true. Makes you wonder how much of Moores film was BS.
  9. I feel bad for the guy who is doing to sueing, but not for what's going in with Moore. For how he lost both his arms, fixing a tire on a helicopter, that sucks, but another guy was killed when the tire exploded.

  11. Some war veteran is sueing the fat ass for 85 million. The veteran lost an arm during service and he claims Moore used him in Farenheit 911 without his permission and he claims Moore portrayed him as being anti-war which isn't true. Now let the pointless bickering begin.

That amp has brainwashed a whole generation of young players into thinking good tone is gained out fuzzy mush. Can't disagree more. The Recto was the amp of the 90's and is still the choice amp used by most popular touring rock bands. Lots of bands i don't care for use them but i have to admit i like lots of the rock tones i have heard. The Foo Fighters for example have such a ballsy in your face sound on thier records which is all Recto. If you don't like thier tone, millions of fans will disagree with you. Other bands that, to me, have gotten great tones from the Rectos are POD, Hoobastank, Tremonti, Buckethead, Incubus, Godsmack, Petrucci, Linkin Park, Nickleback, and the list goes on and on. Again, i don't really listen to all those bands often but i like lots of sounds they have.

Originally posted by maz_master I'd bet my left ball that most of the negative opinions come from 16 year olds who've grown up with the mushy, fuzzy, inarticulate sound of the Rectos played by their death metal heros blasting through their parents' stereos. What can you expect? Rectos can sound like that if you dial them in that way, but they can easily sound much better. The list of pro players who get great tones from thier Rectos is a long one.

    Mesa or Cornford

Originally posted by metalcore It's a unique tone, but they are hands down the best amps I've ever heard. Well i heard a Cornford 100 watt head, i think it was the RK100. We got to compare to lot's of other amps. Nice amp, very big ballsy sound. Was it worth the $3,000 price tag? In my opinion no way. Did it sound better than every amp there? No way, not in my opinion. Especially consider that i liked the $700 Mesa Boogie MarkIII better that day. But the Cornford still sounded very good. I don't any experience with the 1x12 but I'm guessing the 100 watt is Cornford's top dog.
  15. Get a MarkIII blue or red stripe. I don't think simul-class is a must as the non-simulclass models sound killer. I spent time comparing my IIC+ to a loaded Blue stripe MarkIII and yes, there is a difference. But they can be tweaked to sound very close. If anything, the MarkIII had slightly more gain, it sounded a little more scooped and had a little more high end. If you're looking at nailing the early Metallica sound you won't get any closer than with a MarkIII. I see those MarkIII's going for $600-$700. Mctallica is selling a IIC+ for $2150. I bought my IIC+ 5 years ago for $1400, right before the prices skyrocketed.
