  1. You can either practice more... or... smack them with a hammer everyday for a month. Actually, I don't have defined callouses on my finger tips and I can play forever without them hurting. You may want to consider backing off on the pressuer you're playing with
  2. I would think a pick up that's dying would begin to talk a lot about it's childhood and loved ones who are already dead. When they begin to tell you how much they love you, you know the end is near
  3. Yeah.... some of us got no place else to go..... I was banned from another forum just for talking about shims..... NEVER MENTION SHIMS IN PUBLIC!!! IT SERVES YOU RIGHT!!! I use mahogany veneer for mine
  4. Well CSM, If your staying.... I guess I have to leave... Or not
  5. This is what I use True bypass, just adds boost and no color. It also has pots in the case to dial it in. I love this one, I never use distortion and this lil'guy is just enough to give me a bit of tube grind and sustain to make me sound like I know what I'm doing
  6. I change guitars about once every two years... just like my underware
  7. no GAS for me. I did a huge purge in '01 and early '02. I stripped my gear to just what I really need and what I really want. I can cover about 99.8725% of what I play with the gear I have, tonally. Of course, if someone has a late 50's or early 60's gibson gold top with P90's and a trapeze tail piece, they want to give me...
  8. Two different beasts. I own a Twin II for the cleans (tons of clean headroom) and an Orange Tiny Terror (EL84 amp, not really a VOX). I play them both together with an A/B/Y on stage... Pure tonal goodness.
