  1. The only gripes I have with this guitar are with the electronics. Epi did 'upgrade' to CTS pots, but the taper is still terrible. It's not gradual at all. I can roll off the volume or tone controls and there's not much of a change till I get to around 3, then it almost completely goes all the way down....nothing gradual about them. And I wish they would have reversed the direction of the pots like they did on my Tokai and Greco lefty guitars. In a couple of weeks I plan on ordering a pre-wired set of pots and caps from RS Guitarworks and dropping them in.
  2. Right out of the box it plays just fine....pickups are OK as are the pots and stuff. Nice guitar for the money....and it's a white lefty which are really hard to find!
  3. Definitely ugly. Is it a prize-winner? Here's another color-coordinated stunner from Gibson's design team. You can buy it at MF. That is absolutely gorgeous!
  4. Just in time for Guild to enter another guitar into the competition. Thus far, it looks like it's down to either Gibson or Guild. Can Gibson top that? Oh man...that's one of my favorite acoustics...I love that pickguard.
  5. Mortal men simply cannot resist when they see something like this: LP Customs with rosewood fretboards turn me off...but that's just me.
  6. I'll take 80% of the quality for 30% of the price any day. I'd rather pay a couple hundred more and get 100% quality at still less than 50% of the price!
  7. I bought a lefty Epi LP Standard back around 1999, it was junk, the tuners were crap, the pickups sucked, and the pots were useless..no taper to them at all until you got down to around 2 then they abruptly shut off, I hated the Epi version of the tune-o-matic, the saddles sit higher than on a Gibson abr1 and actually cut my hand. After evaluating it I came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth investing money in it to upgrade all the {censored}ty components so I unloaded it on Ebay.
