Members Carle
I prefer the 12 fret L-00 dainty little ladies for me. Easier to cuddle up to for long playing sessions.

Members kwakatak
Out of what I've tried, here's my contribution: For comfort I like the Taylor grand auditorium 414ce. For sound I like a dreadnaught like the Takamine EAN-15C. Very even-sound to it - not too much twang, not too much bass. I would really like to try a Larrivee L-05. Jumbos seem to fall between for me. I really liked Washburn's J28SC and the Alvarez AJ60S is a pretty good value - especially as a 12 string. They're not as bulky as a dreadnaught, and they had a brighter sound with better projection.
Members acoustiholic
I prefer the jumbos. The bigger, the better! I've got a jumbo that sounds like a piano in the lower registers:D
Members guitarcapo
I think that when the waist of the guitar gets more narrow you get a better balance in volume between the high and low notes. That's why I like J40's and J200's more than drednaughts. It's hard to get a drednaught that doesn't boom in the lower registers compared to the high end. Drednaughts are hard to record with because they boom so much. I prefer 000, J-200 and J40 shapes because of the balance. I don't think a guitar can be too loud though......
