Members TGC
I have the opportunity to pick up a N.O.S. Gibson J-45 (built in 2002) for the ridiculous price of $600.00. One small problem..there is a defect on the headstock that looks like a couple of significant wrinkles in the paint and/or finish just below the Gibson logo and down to the D-string tuning post. Anyone have any experience in sending a new guitar back to Gibson for warranty work? How long did it take to get your guitar back? Was the work done to your satisfaction? Thanks for any advice. Members surfcat
I think you just take it to a local authorized Gibson repairman. There's one near me. The problem is getting Gibson to authorize the repair-I hear it can be difficult. They didn't want to fix my fretting out Les Paul when it was new in 1980. Good luck. Members surfcat
Btw, you got a great deal even with a little defect. Where can I find a deal like that?
