Members masterbuilt Posted July 11, 2010 Members Share Posted July 11, 2010 I bought a Q3 from Amazon. It was discounted (basically paid for the shipping). I should have it by the end of this week. I am not worried about how poor this thing is in low-light situations. I have a full photographic studio with backdrops, lighting, tripods, etc... If I have to use the unit in the photographic studio, no big deal. The good news is that the studio is totally portable, too. I have often shot on location, so, every piece of gear is portable. Encased in the top grill are the two microphones used in the H4N so they record in true stereo and I have spoken with several pros using them and they said that the audio is first-rate. Since I have the photo equipment, they told me that I would have fantastic quality. Now, my question will be can I use gels to modify color-balance since I am not sure how the camera will handle it-- I don't want to edit color-balance frame-by-frame.
