Alright, I'm ignant!! What's a PPS nut or saddle??

Tusq is a tradename/trademark. The makers aren't very public about exactly what the material is, but I'm betting it's a variant of Polyphenylene Sulfide.

 

 

That's what I'm thinking as well but I had never seen it referred to that way before.

Polyphenylene Sulfide is used in chemical processing and making Pure Plastic .
