      if it were not for Tito Puente and Willie Bobo, there likely would not have been the latin-influenced Santana band.

        Been a Santana fan for years but never even knew this existed until I heard it on the radio yesterday

          Aunt's boyfriend took me to see Eddie Palmieri and probably Willie Bobo too I don't recall. Anyway the timbales and horn stabs were so piercing, that's all I remember of the event.
