Members Cirix
[h=2]Does this fender appear legitimate?[/h] https://imgur.com/vaRS0o0 https://imgur.com/yTaSQSH https://imgur.com/DLuFxC9 https://imgur.com/DLuFxC9 Seller claims that this is a Fender stratocaster mexican dulux 50s reissue, however they also mentioned that they were unsure whether or not the neck may have been replaced. I checked the serial number for the neck and that checked out, however I was wondering if someone could tell me if the body looked legitimate? Members Freeman Keller
First, welcome to HCEG. Second, of course it is a real Fender, its against the the law to counterfit guitars, eh? Seriously, you can't know for sure but if you take the neck off there is often some numbers in the cavity. I don't know all their meanings and what different models and different years have, but there should be something. Maybe if you post what you find here someone can help sort it out. Also there are ways to trace the serial number on the back of the head but I don't know how to do it for Fenders.
