Members Chordite
Take a 15 minute scroll through this tale on the BBC today. I found it quite fascinating. The guy decides to start a band and create the whole process with fictional agents, awards and charts. Can't help thinking he would be interesting philosophically as a friend, provided one didn't get seduced into a scheme. The Journalist thinks it is done and dusted but one is left with the feeling that the guy is still rolling on a double bluff and it aint over yet.(Sorry if this is already elsewhere on HC the search doesn't work for me) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-sh/jered_threatin

Moderators daddymack Posted December 16, 2018 Moderators Share Posted December 16, 2018 gotta give the guy credit for pulling all those threads together...a consummate liar, probable sociopath...
Members DeepEnd
Wow. Even a local connection. His home town of Moberly, MO is only about 150 miles from St. Louis. I loved this quote: If you purchased tickets for tonight's Threatin show, both of you can get refunds from the point of purchase. BTW, did anyone else think of Sony's fake film critic? Phil O'Keefe
I posted a thread about this in HCPP, but that's no problem... Interesting approach. He had to know that he'd be found out eventually. I guess he was hoping it would be after he got his fifteen minutes of fame, or that he'd be able to parlay the blarney into actual popularity. We'll see if it works, but I doubt it will. But I do think there's probably a part two to this story still to come...
Members Chordite
You know considering the domestic reality of this recording it isn't so bad, there is definitely a bit of Linkin Park in there. As someone commented the mix is dry but, you know, I don't hate it.[video=youtube_share;mxr6COyjD1o]

Sure investors have the motherlode of disposable and could easily fund construction. It will take a new political paradigm before it can fly. Members Etienne Rambert
If you read this, you're part of the illusion. If you don't read this, you're still part of the illusion. No escaping it.--- But seriously folks, the only surprise to me was learning there are venues overseas that still book bands like this. I thought Rock was road-kill outside North America.
