So I found this on eBay for £100 including hard case, new but damaged during import. It's a plus pro, and after a bit of tlc it's an awesome guitar despite a small scar on the back of the neck which I've since tidied up. I'll put up more recent pictures soon. Just thought I'd show her off!

That neck break gave me a visceral ouch response... fine to keep a reminder of what you brought it back from, the neck scar. Not that you could make it invisible anyway... easier to id if someone steals it too! Very nice. I imagine the cheapest NGD would be when someone pays you to take it away.... but darn fine deal nonetheless

Nice.

Knock on wood, but in my 40 plus years of playing guitar. I have never done any serious damage to a guitar. Came close with a Gibson J185, when it slide down the side of a bed and the headstock hit the metal bed frame. I took it to the local luthier and he did his magic to it. No serious damage, just a nice ding. but it came out better than it left the Gibson factor, as the top of the headstock was polished correctly.

My 185 is like this, I forget the year I bought it 91-92 ish, but there wasn't many made. The back on mine is much nicer.

If you ever are looking at acoustic instruments and want something nice, the Gibson Ren Ferguson years are really amazing.

Enjoy the new guitar.

I've done allot or neck break repairs myself. I'd typically pass up any break that extends down to the truss rod channel because putting tension on the truss rod will typically reopen the break over time

You may be OK in your case. That break was very long and you had allot of surface area to apply glue so its likely to be quite strong.

As far as hiding the break, the best way is to get the surface super smooth first so there is no physical groove. Then you can use black lacquer spray paint and feather it in like you would applying a tobacco burst on the body and just do the part of the neck that has the break. You can clear coat over it afterwards. I've done that on a dozen different necks and you'd never know it had a break unless you didn't get it smooth first. Finish "wont" fill in cracks so prepping is the key to making the break invisible.
