Members Freeman Keller
The one on the left is vintage, its out of your budget. I've got about a grand in materials in the blond so I suppose it qualifies [img2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"http:\/\/i51.photobucket.com\/albums\/f387\/Freeman_Keller\/Repairs\/Ibanez%20binding\/IMG_3922_zpstqycc8og.jpg"}[/img2]
Members guitarcapo
I just pulled the trigger on a "scratch and dent" Washburn J7 online for $450 from Musician's Friend. I'll let you know if I like it. Solid spruce top. I just sold an Epiphone Elite Broadway and this looked like a viable replacement without dumping a whole lot of cash into it. [/quote'] Just save your penny's. Get an ES 175 or a L5. I got me a ES 275, that is to die for. Too much coin, I have a couple of Godin King Pins at the house too. Not me, but they play jazz pretty well. Mike Stern plays a jazz fusion on a telecaster. Members onelife
Ed Bickert plays traditional jazz on a telecaster. Ed was one of my teachers and, by the time I met him, he had put a Gibson Humbucker in his beat up old tele. Members badpenguin
Ok,. how can you be sick of one, when you never played one? Kinda moronic if you ask me. I proudly fly the Ibanez flag, so stop being biased, and play one of the Artcores. Samick makes decent ones, check feebay, and you can find the JZ series for under 500. Not a fan of the Washburns per say, but some people love them. Dean, has the Palomino line. WELL under a grand. Eastwood, some of the nicest Asian guitars out there, quite a few under a grand. Epiphone's tend to be good, especially if you can find a mid 90's Sheraton II, or a Peerless made Casino. There you go, a few options for your non existent guitar buying desires. Who knows, within the next 7 years, you may just get one.
Members onelife
I'm a big fan of Ibanez guitars as well. I played several of their Artist series 335 style guitars in the early-mid '80s. I'm still waiting for the right GB-10 to find its way to me. Members Mikeo
The original telecaster neck pick up had a real warm and jazz like tone. Leo knew, but folks swapped out the pot and cap and give it a brighter sound.

Members bernardo gui
1 month ago I bought a brand new Ibanez AM-93 FOR $ 200USD.This guy was hard up & needed money so I bought his guitar.I took it home, restrung it, adjusted the neck & set the intonation. This is a Ibanez hollow body guitar & it blew me completely away !KILLER Quilted Maple body & the Super 58 pickups sound REALLY good. The playability, finish work, hardware, EVERYTHING was killer. It's like the Ibanez answer to a ES-339, a small bodied hollow body.Ibanez AM-93.....BUY THIS GUITAR & PREPARE TO BE BLOWN AWAY . http://www.ibanez.com/products/u_hb_...=15&color=CL01

Moderators daddymack Posted December 22, 2017 Moderators Share Posted December 22, 2017 For that matter, there are a ton of Gretsch Electromatics under a grand, as well as Epiphones [Emperor, Broadway/Swingster], the Dean Palomino, Loar, Michael Kelly Vibe, Samick and a ton of no-name Chinese hollow bodies that can actually be spruced up with good hardware and electronics....but my question is are you about the sound of a hollowbody, or the look? I'm guessing, based on your posting history, kaibigan, that you have absolutely no taste, and therefore that it is the 'look'.Why are you wasting our time, since all these will feed back through your 100W amps and sound boxy and dull through your Fender SS practice amp... Moderators daddymack Posted December 22, 2017 Moderators Share Posted December 22, 2017 I don't think you can find the Guild Savoy new with a case under a grand..and the Heritage Sweet 16? Those go for like 3 grand the Loar is a great choice, though!
