Members badpenguin
Hey all, while traveling in the southern part of the state, my wife and I visited pawn shops. Very first one, we found this bad boy. a 2005 Yamaha EGV103. A re-issue of the famous Flying Samurai! (Dr Who's guitar of choice by the way.) A neck that is like half of a rolling pin, and a nice fretboard, The pickups however..... at best, leave a lot to be desired. Next day, we discovered a GC there. So I wanted to get strings and.... you know the story. Saw this beast hanging on the wall, and had to try it. 1981 Ibanez Artist AR100. HIGHLY modified, but once in the hand, melted into it. The added pickups are wired to their own output, and sound nice, especially in the mid position. (Like position 2 on a strat). But the hums, oh god, the hums.... V2's and just scream PUAL KILLER! As I am plying this, my wife asks me for my wallet to "get change" I had it over, still enthralled with the Ibanez thru a vintage twin, when she comes back, and says "sign this, you bought the guitar." I was shocked but she knew that look in my eyes when playing it. A little expensive, but well worth it!
