Humbucker Routing Question

So I decided to route a neck humbucker into my '87 American Kramer Baretta (I need versatility and don't want to part with the guitar). After I route the bucker cavity, How will I be able to get my wire from the pickup to the control cavity? I can either route directly to the control cavity or route from one cavity to the other. I assume routing from one cavity to the other is the best idea, but I am not using a pickguard, meaning I have to route down in the body without affecting cosmetics above it. Anybody know the best way to accomplish this? I drew a diagram to display this:

It might be more slightly more expensive, but you might want to just pickup a strat body that's already routed how you want it off ebay, and transfer your neck and hardware over to it, that way, your guitar will feel the same to you, but it won't devalue the instrument.
