Members cbh5150
...this: The PRS SE Bernie Marsden Signature It's basically a SE 245, but with the best finish , but DAMN, the stock pickups, esp. the bridge, are outstanding, and the out-of-the box workmanship is just top-notch. Just got done playing one at GC, and it has shot up to the top of my GAS list

Members Spudro
Ah... Bernie Marsden. One of my favorite guitarists. I'm glad that he's got a signature guitar, even if Gibson didn't do it. Gibson missed the boat making a Leslie West Les Paul Jr too.

Members blazingblake
Its beautiful except for the zebra pickups.
Members The Villano Dude
I still really like the double cutaway better but, that joint is gorgeous.
Members GAS Man
I haven't tried that one yet, but I have bought 5 PRS SEs. The first three were basic SE Standards or Customs, but the 4th, a Paul Allender (passive), and 5th, a Carlos Santana (last version), are definitely the best sounding I've tried. They seem to tweak the p'ups a bit on the sig models.
Members The Villano Dude
I have wanted a Paul Allender for a while. Not even that big of a dan of CoF either, lol.

Members 3volved
The only thing that would make this better is a wide thin neck. I'd rock it for sure. EDIT: after watching that video, it looks like this will be my next guitar. Good good stuff there.
Members csm
So the production versions will offer Green-O-Tone in the middle position? VERY Lemon Drop ... APPROVED. If they offer a 'Singlecut Trem' version of this, GAS may ensue ...
Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted December 16, 2011 Moderators Share Posted December 16, 2011 Its beautiful except for the zebra pickups. Hmmm, maybe, but now picture it with a set of raw nickel covers on there a $20 mod.......??? Ya seein it?

Members ChrisGansz
I agree - however, I haven't had much luck with the PRS trems on my SE's. Perhaps you will fare much better!
Members jds22
Hmm, I was set on buying a new amp but now I'm not sure. My current amp works just fine and sounds good but I don't have a non trem 24.5 scale guitar. What to do?
Members csm
I agree - however, I haven't had much luck with the PRS trems on my SE's. Perhaps you will fare much better! This guitar is -- at least in THIS incarnation -- trem-free. However, the trem on my 2001 Mk 1 Santana SE is VERY reliable indeed.
