Members cratz2
I think he lives in or around Fort Collins and that's where most of the talk of the wild fire was centered yesterday. Hope he's just distracted with the fire stuff and they haven't had to evacuate their home.
Members DaleH
If I was anywhere near that beast I would evacuate. 0 contained and in beatle kill, nasty {censored} man. We get that up here. Only thing you can do is get out of the way. Those people that are refusing to evacuate have no idea. Hope Doc and family are fine.
Members cratz2
Scary stuff for sure. We have three firefighters in the family. I was talking with one of them yesterday and he's been on a number of wildfires in forested areas. He said they are quite a bit different than wildfires in plains areas with relatively few trees. He said that often, the fire will actually spread through the root systems and that you can been working in one area maybe 100 feet away and there's a better than 50/50 chance a new tree will catch fire from the bottom up because the roots actually catch on fire first. He said it's quite unsettling.
