Members Virgman
I learned all 99 licks of Marty Friedman's 99 Secret Guitar Phrases, generally by learning one or two licks per day and playing all licks learned from day one 4-5 times each day, so by the end I am playing 400-500 repetitions of these licks a day. Now that I have learned them all I think they pretty much are quite crappy licks and certainly no better than anything I could make up myself. Good exercise but kind of crappy licks. Perhaps I have to learn to appreciate them more in the future.
Members JonR
Now you need to chop them around a bit. Eg, take the first bit of lick #37 and join it to the last half of lick #52. (I've no idea whether this will work, I've not read the book. But who cares?
Members Virgman
So Jon if I take the first part of lick 37, which is 3, and attach it to the last part of lick 52, which is 2, then I would have lick #32. But I already learned that one.
Members JonR
No, you'd actually get 37+52 / 2 = lick #44.5 Do try and keep up...

Members AlamoJoe
True. After reading yor numerous posts, replies, and a seemingly endless supply of one-liners, witty repartees, occasional general obnoxiousness, pithy remarks et. al. I have decided your Avatar fits you absolutely perfectly. You're kind of like a car wreck...I really don't wanna look, I just can't help myselfsmiley-veryhappy
