Members booher
Aside from jazz tunes, I'd like to be able to be self-accompanying. I can generally move around bass notes with chords, but I'm hardly an expert on it, and probably a shaky intermediate at best. So, what songs are good for getting this down better? I'd like to be able to move into jazz tunes later on, but I want a more solid foundation to start off with. One good example I know of, just to name one, is Andrew Bird's rendition of Tin Foil by The Handsome Family. Fairly simple, but I'd like a few more to try and tackle. Members jeremy_green
Beatles tunes always work well.... for almost everything! Really you can do this with any song. Stack the bass, the chords and the vocal melody and you are off. That is essentially the trip. It's cool if you take unsuspecting songs like this: [video=youtube;ZFbsOiF-C4M]
