At the moment I'm surfing for written music with audio to expand my studies....maybe not to learn in full, but to find little bits that appeal to me and learn how to play them - little runs, trills and so on, and to practice reading.

I recommend your tootling over to:

Good grief! Is there no end? Countless musicians and composers from around the world posting up sheet music (sometimes with TAB), mp3s (sometimes digital representations of the piece, or a midi file, and, if you're lucky, a "human" version ie the artist playing it), and even the interpretations of others to listen to.

This is all free, but a donation system is there for you.

To save you time and get you right in to the guitar stuff, try starting with Michel Bert:

Get the PDF and the mp3, and prepare to be amazed!

Then you might like to check these players/composers:

Dino Marchese :

Kok Henk:

Pierre Meric:

Ludovic Gerald:

The guitar music section is huge, and there are sections for just about every instrument on the General Midi list! I can't begin to imagine just how big this site is. In view of that, I reckon, one needs to be just a little patient for stuff to load, but it's not too far off being quick enough, and well worth the wait. My connection isn't the fastest in the world, but things there are for me a tad slower than most sites I frequent. The main thing is that the downloads work well :).

Enjoy!

It is indeed, windmill!

I have an idea......I'm saving all the links to the stuff I like. What I've got so far is extremely tasty. I suggest that anyone checking out this site saves their fave links and posts them up here, so we can all build up a fine collection of study material.

Here's another to be going on with:

I'm at the point where I need to step back to the basics....get some discipline by learning tunes which are not over-challenging but very agreeable to listen to. This site has lots of those, and having the notation and audio available is almost too good to be true!

Don't forget, then - pop back here with links to anything you think others might enjoy!
