Members NowieAsh
Right now I'm using a Little Big Muff set at a higher volume with more sustain. It works, but I'm sure there's a better pedal out there for this purpose. Any thoughts?
Members starmansam
naga viper? so it doesnt get muddy? plus then you'd have a naga viper which is a totally sweet pedal.
Members ChuckNorris1982
Tubescreamers are your friend for boosting big muffs. I don't really like TS pedals a great deal, but they're great with muffs as they add a little mids, tighten the low end for palm mutes, and add sustain too. Members notjonahbutnoah
EQ's and overdrives, IMO, are better boosters than boosters. Tone Job, Tube Screamer... something like that.

Members ChuckNorris1982
I bet it will sound good. Volume all the way up, gain somewhere around half or below, tone to taste.

In fact, I don't even know if the little {censored} still works! Maybe not on it's own, but into a muff with the dist down, the volume up, and the tone kinda high... it just might do the trick. Heh, if it does, in fact, still work.

Members Reaganomics!
RAT. Pretty much the only thing I liked my Rat for when I had it was boosting a Big Muff. What a tremendous, thick {censored}ing sound. Tubescreamer will give you more volume and mids, but the Rat just does something fierce and awesome to the Muff. It's like drinking whiskey, no-one can handle it at first but you do it anyway, grow hair on your chest, and turn into a man.

RAT into a Big Muff sounds how a turkey leg wrapped in bacon tastes.

Members diocide
I've run both a TS-9 and an OCD into my NYC muff, both with great results. I've only recently stopped using that setup, in favor of a Musket, which is almost the same as running both of these pedals.
Members hangwire
Dirty boosters like mxr micro amp or ehx lpb worth a shot if the ts5 is not your thing
