Preamps in Pedal Format - AMT, others?

I'm looking at the AMT SS-11B or SS-20.  The features seem like exactly what I'm going for - three channels, ranging from clean to high gain.  My goal is to be able to plop the preamp on my board so I have easy control over that and then can easily create a stereo effected signal to send to a rack tube power amp.  Are there other pedals I should consider?

Tech 21 SansAmp series.

There's the jack-of-all-trades GT2, and then they have the "character" series which are designed to emulate specific amps.

"Leeds" (Hiwatt emulation, I think)

"Blonde" (brownface Fender)

"Oxford" (Orange?)

"British" (Marshall)

"Liverpool" (Vox)

"California" (Mesa Mark II)

"US Metal" (Mesa Rectifier)

Oh, yeah, there's cheap knockoff of many of these pedals too. o Joy. More than I can bear in ger.
