Most of the amps Thomann (or anyone else) sells are made in China unless they're fairly expensive. An Orange amp, for example, made for the European market will sound and perform just like the same version made for the US market. And it seems like shipping from Germany would be prohibitive unless you were in Europe. Buy an amp from a company or shop in the US (assuming you live there) and you'll be fine.
