Members SamnitesFall
Hi folks, I see one of these at my local Bargain Hunt for $125, and it's very difficult to find any reviews or demos online. I'm just thinking of picking it up as a late night headphone practice amp for when the family is asleep. It's just the head, no cab, so it would basically go on the bookshelf next to my desk. As a SS head, would I need to provide a cab for load, or would the headphones only be fine? Thanks!
Members DeepEnd
I can't find a manual for that amp so I don't know if plugging in the headphones disables the speaker. If you have a cab available you can test it. To be safe you might want to use a 1/4" plug and 8 Ohm resistor to make a dummy load. As long as you use a fairly beefy resistor and don't crank your amp you should be fine.
