Members Mikeo
I think you classic old school Fender amp guys might dig this new series.
Members Daehtihs
I think you're right Mikeo, it definitely has the Fender tweed bawlz but with lots of modern upgrades! [video=youtube;s3mPpdsTnks]
Members OldGuy6873
I had fully intended to buy one, until I plugged in. The Fillmore 50 has a certain squishiness that I could not dial out. If you look at the vid of the 50 vs the new 25 they just released, you can hear it. The 25 sounds much tighter. Especially the head with the 23" cab with a 12" speaker.
Members Chuck Nuggets
I'd like to try the 25 watt model.
Members bernardo gui
Can Mesa Boogie please make a amp that's no so...."busy".Less knobs, less switches, less tonal options.I love they're amps, they are just too damn "busy".The Fillmore at 50 watts SHOULD cover all the musical bases. Phil O'Keefe
Can Mesa Boogie please make a amp that's no so...."busy". Less knobs, less switches, less tonal options. IMO the new Fillmore looks like it is going to be easier to figure out and more intuitive than the Mark series amps... and they've made a few other amps that were even simpler in terms of controls, such as the old Subway series and the current California Tweed series. In the 90s when I was amp hunting and only had some vague notions about what I wanted/what was good/what I actually needed/had to be tubes etc...I settled on Boogie. To me all those knobs and switches meant variety. After a 10 year break in (ME, - actually me not "M. E." had to break in. Beginner to well versed beginner) I came to the conclusion I was right.
