Members pogoshoes Posted May 26, 2014 Members Share Posted May 26, 2014 Are cab watts and speaker watts the same thing,or would I need a specific 112 cab to house an EVM 12L?The amp head is 100watts.Just not sure if people mean speaker watts when they say cab watts. A cabinet with two speakers, each rated for 50 Watts RMS, would be able to handle 100 Watts RMS. The thing about the EVM12L is that it is heavy and capable of producing very high sound pressure levels. The cabinet will have to be sturdy enough to safely house the speaker and withstand the high levels of vibration. Those are great sounding speakers and for some people it's worth the lug.
