Members OverDriven Posted August 30, 2005 Members Share Posted August 30, 2005 I have tried JAN Philips 12AX7WA's in the following of my amps: Egnater TOL100Bray Modded JCM 8005150 IMO they suck ass in every one of those amps. Its just a very bad sounding tube in any guitar application. Harsh, grating on the ears, and flat. The 12AX7-EH & the Ruby STR 7025/12AXY-CA Silver Special. I'm liking the Chinese the best. The Ruby STR 7025/12AXY-CA came stock in Herbie.
