Members andyhumb
I was responding to another thread when someone mentioned that Don Dokken's voice is very hard to listen to - and I definately agree. He has to be near the top of the list for great bands with irritating lead singer vocals. Whos on your list?

Members BARHOPPER
The dude from System Of A Down is the worst so-called singer that I've ever heard. Ruins everything.

Billy Corgan.

Members Randy Van Sykes
Tragically Hip King Diamond (haha...but makes me laugh) Dave Mustaine Nickelback Jim Morrison Extreme Dream Theatre I can't stand most of those 80's screamer/falsetto singers... ...and I hate to say this, but Stevie RV and John Sykes IMO should just play guitar...Sykes has a great vocal range though, but I never cared for his 'vocal tone' for some reason... Members andyhumb
those 80's screamers/falsetto singers were pretty irritating, it seemed that as the 80's left and the next decade took over, the singing got a little better but the guitar playing got {censored}tier - until ultimately modern "rock" music no longer had any guitar solos at all, sad but true:(
Members DenverDave
Maybe because I've listened to rush for so long - Geddy does not bother me. though listening to the first few CD's it gets to me. He is singing much better now than he was then... LaBrie is a good singer, but I don't always like what he does vocally.

I think singing in the 90's was aweful. Seemed like every other band that came out had to copy Eddie Vedder. Guys in the 80's could at least sing while soo many guys in the 90's sounded like they just swallowed a jar full of depressants and tried to do their best imitation of a dying goat. I like Chris Cornell but to me there was way more talent in the 80's.
