Members Jerry
I recently saw a clip of Vernon Reid playing "Cult of Personality" when Living Colour was on Arsenio Hall and his tone absolutely smoked live. He had a searing, hot-rodded tone that made Living Colour stand out from the glam bands at the time and it still sounds good while other bands sound dated by comparison. Does anyone know what gear Vernon played around the late 80's/ early 90's "Time's Up" period. I don't think the Roland VG-88 and GR-50 multi-fx were out yet and Crate Blue Voodoo didn't exist at the time, which is what he plays now. Anyone know? Members Unstrung
His tone has a lot of character. But, in before accusations of bad tone...
Members Roflmao
I don't know about then, but I know he uses both of the Bugera 333 models. They also told me they were working with him on a signature model. Don't know when it'll be out though.

Members Jerry
Bad tone? I thought it was great and chunky; had a lot of bite and cut through. They've also said Randy Rhoads and Joe Satriani have bad tone and I would beg to differ.
