  • John Fogerty

saw Austin city limits last night and John was the featured guest.the guy rocked.and he seemed to having a good time doing it.
he did 8 or 10 ccr tunes and some newer stuff on acoustic.

Then on soundstage was YES.Who played some of their classics and ended up doing an acoustic set.

good night for music on TV.

Yep was an awesome performance. John is my guitar god, I want to be like him when I grow up.

The best part was when he swapped out the lyrics in bad moon rising for:

"there's a bathroom on the right"

      had me dying

      He rocks!

I love those 2 shows being back to back. But I was giging last night. I probably should have stayed home and watched.....

                What did the Who do?

No offense intended, but (see above) . . .

I saw the Fogerty show. No many lead singers/songwriters that also do much of the lead guitar work. Interesting seeing him switch from a LP to a tele to a Peavey(?) to another LP, etc. Probably overkill but fun to see.

there was another band/show on after YES but I fell asleep [2am] before they came on.I'll have to keep an eye for it and Tivo it next time.
I wonder what kinda songs they would have produced had they not ever dis-banded?

it's great to see JF playing HIS music again after decades of wrangling with his former record company. wish he would have done some stuff on electric resonator but it was still a fine show.
