There is. It's been available since 2005 but it's only available as a region 1, USA format only. There are so many great concert DVD's that won't play on British machines. **************** !

What does England use? SECAM or PAL?

There are conversion services on the Net. Not sure how pricey they are?
    GB #270 in perpetuity

That's what's so great about the Internet:
It enables pompous blowhards like myself,
to connect with other pompous blowhards
in a vast circle jerk of pomposity.

According to "Riffpowers" who posts on OJ, there are websites with the coding information that will make my player compatible for Region 1 discs. It would seem that by pushing buttons on the remote in the correct order I can accomplish this. Riffpowers also says that players are manufactured to be sold anywhere in the world and are coded at the factory for the region they will be sold in. Makes sense to me.
Manassas and Mountain are top of my list as soon as I can do this.

Don't they sell all region players over there? I play quite a few PAL format DVD's on mine.
And I have the Manassas DVD you speak of. It's excellent IMHO.

I would guess he is on PAL...but most players I've seen recently handle all formats. Check the User Manual that came with the machine, there may be a code in the manual for altering the format

              Is that a Spanish brand?

Korean $30. Works pretty good actually but I'm about to dump it for a DVD recorder as prices have fallen a lot of late.
