Members Peekaboo Fuzzy
Are there some nice John Carpenter type sweep presets, where you can have distortion through your gutar amplifier and then the sweeping synth sound out of a clean amp/keyboard amp at the same time? Members aliensporebomb
Yes. But you don't necessarily need to use two amps even though you could. It might even sound better to go direct into the board. See:http://pod.ath.cx/vg99/Rigsby%20Reloaded-24-final.mp3 This track has an example of a distorted rhythm guitar with a synth padthat is subtly lower in volume below it. Then I added a bass part as wellas a clean piezo guitar with a regular clean guitar along with it. All of the sounds you hear are the VG99 (excepting drums which is justa quick drum loop). The lead solo is a distorted lead with a synth patch tracking alongsideso it gives a nice doubled thickness and you can really hear the synthystuff when I let the low E sustain alongside and the descending chordshappening towards the end. The guy to hear is Bill Ruppert (baranger1 on this board), he's got someamazing self-created synth patches for the VG99.
