Members EightString Posted September 6, 2011 Members Share Posted September 6, 2011 http://agilepartners.com/blog/2011/09/06/announcing-ampkit-1-2/I've been using Ampkit with an iPad for live guitar performance for some time now, and Agile Partners just released v1.2 of the app. I was getting good sounds out of this rig before, but now... wow. Just wow. They revamped everything under the hood for more realistic amp models, and are now using convolution filters for the cab sims. It was INSTANTLY noticeable, the sound quality improvement. I honestly think this is getting close to competing sonically with desktop software.After spending some time with the new version of Ampkit last night, I don't think I'll be on stage pining for my full computer rig running Waves GTR quite so often anymore.
