Members ozzeh Posted July 18, 2011 Members Share Posted July 18, 2011 while I cannot comment on the digitech, I know from firsthand experience that the zoom G1x products are excellent. I have the G1X which has the expression pedal and it's an absolutely great product that you can get relatively cheap ($50-60). The best thing about the zoom was the high gain amp modelling and some of the clean patches with reverb + trem were excellent; it also has a really nice acoustic sim. I recommend the zoom, great tones from the presets and endless tweakability with the parameters makes it a keeper. Plus it comes with a built in noise gate! Members Karma1 Posted July 18, 2011 Members Share Posted July 18, 2011 I don't have personal experience with the G1 but I had a G2 and currently have a G2.1Nu and I'm very impressed with them and would recommend them highly. I believe the G1 is a bit more stripped down model. It may be fine, but I don't imagine it would be that much more money to move up to the G2.
