Members BlueGreene
Some ideas have been floating around. One of them has to do with using a hex output (or other) and the guitars normal output while actively crossfading/patch/sample shifting. (I'm using live and reason after an axon product)T'was thinking one way about it is with a panning guitar pedal. Two mono sources. Synth channels coming from the comuter into the pedal. But what if one was to use midi foot contoller for mapping in the programs? Crossfading/selecting could then apply to different channels there. Using Sampler in live.. Could the midi foot controller have quantized sections in the pedal's throw so mapping the sample selector in Sampler would work? And really, so zones of the foot controller can play as a pitched midi controller? Samples could be evenly distributed across that and combination's attributes could by applied to the pedal while leaving the guitar free (perhaps?) to play its notes without altering or triggering those other changes. Even if the taper on the midi pedal is not quantizeable, there's some very intriguing possibilities. Of course it always comes down to playing the guitar. But why not? Having performance momentary midi switches on the guitar would be neat.
