Members Brad_P
I've been trying to work on singing Softer/smoother, I would appreciate any feedback! Also, I have to clear my throat kind of often (Every 5 minutes?) to get my natural voice, is there something I could do to maybe help out my throat? https://soundcloud.com/brad_p/trying-to-sing-smoother-does By the way I read I was supposed to give some feedback before I posted, but honestly I don't know if I sound good so I don't want to run around giving my opinion if It's not worth much. Members ido1957
Yeah just give your opinion you don't need to be a teacher to comment on songs.Your song - pitchy in a couple spots but overall it's pretty good. Find the pitchy spots and work on them.
Moderators davie Posted October 4, 2013 Moderators Share Posted October 4, 2013 Yes, it was a bit pitchy on some parts. I know that you're trying to develop a soft/smooth sound, but I would not compromise the integrity of your true tone to achieve it. I would try to gain a balance between the dynamics of soft and loud. A well-working voice should be able to do both. I would avoid taking the extremes too far. If you concentrate too much on making softer sounds then there's a greater tendency to squeeze the throat and vocal production could become breathy.
