"There are a lot of "tricks" you can use by manipulating your falsetto that can give you some of those hair metal high notes. But you are best served by understanding your personal vocal range and singing within that. You will sound more musical and your intonation with be much better as a rule."

How about some hints. What tricks? How can I improve my falsetto range?

I posted this in another thread and crossways didn't answer. Does anyone know how I can improve my Falsetto range, even by a few notes? I can usually get up to A or Bflat above C, and I would like to know if there is any way to increase my range.

I sent you a PM

Basically if by improve you mean "make it sound better" then yes.

If you mean add notes to your range then probably not.

Falsetto or any singing for that matter should be "tension free"

so work on being relaxed in the shoulders, neck and jaw.

Falsetto requires a lot of air and space

open your mouth - think tall, with space between your molars, lifting the soft pallette (back of roof of mouth - like a yawn)

use good low breath (diaphragm) and fast (cold) air. (fast air is cold...slow is warm)

Try starting on a comfortable pitch and moving down a 5 tone scale.

EX. Use the syllable "Nah" - sing down from "a" - a,g,f#,e,d

then move up a 1/2 step to Bb - Bb, Ab, G, F, Eb,

continue in this pattern

There are a ton of vocal exercises and syllables to use. to begin use downward patterns and very open syllables.

good luck
