Members greenfairy
I was recently given a sax (I believe tenor) from a friend ho inherited it from her grandfather (So I believe it to be an oldie). I can't for the life of me figure out what kind it is, and it's worth. It is all brass, with the word "Prestige" engraved into it with some other simple scroll work. All the "prestige";s I have found do not match. There are no ther markings on anything other than serial # which is E86** Any ideas??
Members capitalist
Examine it carefully. It may have been manufactured by Selmer.
Members greenfairy
What would I be looking for exactlly? I'm a musician, but know almost squat about Sax's lol I know there are no other markings. Serial number on mouthpiece where it screws into Sax, and another under where the thumb rest is. Other than that, just the simple scroll work and the word Prestige engraved within it. (On the front side of the bell) I can post pics if you, or anyone else would like a look
