Members D
I'm a nooby noob, hence the question. Is a cello bow longer and thinner and a bass bow the opposite?
Members sunburstbasser
Upright bows can be slightly longer, although there is quite a bit of overlap between the two. Upright bows come in various sizes as well, sometimes SHORTER than a cello bow. It seems the biggest difference is that I see more upright players using German bows than cellists, who seem to stick with French bows.
