Members raining_at_sunset
I have a Hohner big river G harmonica...having only ever used a very cheap harmonica before I was impressed with how rich it sounded.

Been using BRHs for about the last 15 or so years...an excellent harmonica at a (relatively) reasonable price. When I switched to BRHs, I think they went for $11.50, each...now, around $24. OTOH, when I started playing harmonica, in 1962 or so, a Marine Band was like $3!Another thing I appreciate about the BRH is that they last much longer than other models...when I played Marine Bands, Blues Harps and Special 20s, I'd be lucky to get 6 months out of one before it had a sour note or two, while my current set of 5 BRHs (A, C, D, E and G) have stayed in tune for almost 2 years, being used about 10 hours a week, on average.Reckon I'll be using them for as long as Hohner keeps up the quality! Jersey Devil: Think Hohner has sold their "bargain line" harmonicas (last time I was at a CB, they had the Old Standby, but only in "C") at Cracker Barrel for less than 10 years
