They kind of cut through a mix, and that's what there supposed to do.

I play Gillian's song Dry Town every once in a while.

    and some Merle Travis

G Love is another big arch top guy, but he plugs in .

I went to the Saratoga Guitar Show well over a decade a go and saw the Godin 5th Ave, they had just come out and I said to myself this thing needs a pick up. It wasn't long after that I got the non cutaway with a P90 like pup. The King Pin sing cut has been with me not that long.

Keep on rockin on the thing.

I know what ya mean about arthritis in the paws., I don't know if I have arthritis, but I played about 4 hours yesterday and damn were my paws sore this morning.

    • Thanks for taking the time to put those vids I did those things without no amp, straight up...Through an amp, well it is also ...very nice...can't say much else...it does feedback, but I expected that. I use a "noise reduction"pedal and it is very or totally quiet, no back ground hum, really at all.
i lament sometimes over an antique Epiphone archtop that the antique store had near me 20 years ago. Thing was so well played the fretboard had 1/4 inch "divit holes" on the fretboard around the frets, 1st position...man, he wanted 800 shoulda woulda coulda lol
I used audacity and the "LAME" encoder, and a "Sampson" usb mic to record and save as mp3 file...that's the result. my youngest kid confiscated my digicam lol probably a good thing maybe

        • Hi, I'm new here

This first one is like a 12 track album recorded on old school equipment. It took about 4 months time and was a fun project.

... and here is some older stuff more scattered and like 15 years old or more

          • ^I put a short backing track clip of the "Epiphone Century" slow blues in E ^ yes I suck , but that might give one an idea.of it's "tone" Perfect , to me I tried using the "vaporizer" amp , instant feedback at "0" volume...the reissue Epiphone Electar "Century" amp works great imho...Will try the Bugera "V5" later. I expect good things

what do you think ? the "other" things were done with the Epiphone "Deluxe" reissue and my old Stella

                  • most humbled by your kindness. my entire life i have sought to perfect my craft. be it guitar, drums, woodwinds, voice... whatever, the approach was the same... strict adherence to basics, proper eyelash length and even trivial things but yet loosing myself ever so subtly to the machine. in trying to control everything i lost my heart. scales and theory, attempting to explain the character of the beast... the breath of the dew on your skin... i ramble... gongs have taught me to stop the internal maelstrom and just become the sound... entrainment... most times i dont even think about which instruments i will use until i get there... a meditation may be based on over half a century of study as a foundation but from the time i begin until the silence after the last tone, it is pure improvisation.
